Preparations for the 120 years since the establishment of Maseno School are now in top gear, with a number of activities lined up for the historic day which will be marked on April 10 2026.
The school Chief Principal Peter Owino speaking a head of the event said friends and alumni of Maseno School together with volunteers have appreciated the fact that the learning institution has been doing well academically but lags behind in terms of infrastructure development.
Owino said Maseno School has the capacity to be the best school in the country if the requisite infrastructure is put in place. He said the occasion will be that of a infrastructure renaissance ever since the school was established.
The learning institution which was established in 1906 by the Church Missionary Society (CMS) has over the years exhibited immense discipline and an admirable tradition for 120 years without a strike.
In a country where student unrest has periodically disrupted other institutions, Maseno stands as an oasis of order, respect, and constructive dialogue.
This achievement speaks to the strong culture of mutual respect between students and administration.
