Baricho Boys High School from Kirinyaga County has maintained academic giant status after attaining a mean score of 9.27 with 423 students attaining C plus and above in the 2023 KCSE examinations.
The school improved from 8.6 with 25 students getting a straight A compared to last year where they only had 4.
Further, 86 students managed A minus, 109 got B plus, 102 attained B plain, 60 scored B minus, 41 got C plus, 17 scored C plain, 5 got C minus 5, 2 students scored D+ and 2 others scored D plain.
“I cannot hide my joy as the school produced at least 423 students with C+ and above,” said Principal Bernard Mwangi.
Principal Mwangi joined teachers celebrating with song and dance.
He said that determination from both students and teachers ensured the school registers the good performance.
The Principal said that the success was due to students’ discipline and unity of teachers who worked as a team while parents gave the necessary support.
