TSC orders exam officials to maintain integrity on duty

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) chief executive (CEO) Dr Nancy Macharia has ordered invigilators and centre managers to uphold integrity as they dispense duty, emphasizing the importance of adhering to established rules.

A total of 223,223 teachers have been meticulously vetted and entrusted with the roles of supervisors and invigilators.

In addition, 71,760 have been identified as centre managers to oversee the process across the country.

Macharia underscored the significance of proper briefing, emphasizing that the teachers involved in this crucial exercise have received comprehensive guidance and instructions from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).

Moreover, a stern warning has been issued to all schools and teachers cautioning them against visiting social media platforms that may be conduits of malpractice.

She urged officials to remember the sanctity of the examination process, ensuring strict adherence to the prescribed guidelines for the delivery of credible examinations.

She also reassured the public of a clean exercise, confirming that the commission is prepared to take disciplinary action against any teacher found engaging in any form of dishonesty.
