Teachers have appealed to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to urgently resolve persistent glitches affecting its TPAD and T-Pay platforms, saying the technical hitches are disrupting performance appraisals, promotions and access to financial services.

KUPPET Nakuru Branch Executive Secretary Duncan Macharia said the union has been receiving numerous calls from frustrated teachers who are unable to access the systems at a critical time.

“Teachers are calling us asking that we plead with the TSC ICT Department to fix the TPAD system because they cannot access it, yet the promotion process is ongoing,” Macharia said.

Macharia added that teachers are also unable to access the T-Pay portal to process loans or track the status of existing loan applications.

“The same problem has affected T-Pay. Teachers cannot process loans or even check the status of their loans, and this is causing a lot of anxiety,” he said.

He urged the Commission to restore the platforms without delay to ensure teachers are not unfairly disadvantaged.
