A fourth-year Science and Technology student at Multimedia University has allegedly committed suicide.
Reportedly, while friends embarked on a Saturday night outing, the deceased chose to remain behind.
Tragically, his lifeless body was discovered suspended from a hostel washroom later.
Law enforcement authorities have initiated a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
The University Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof Paul Mbatia, extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and led a prayer session for students.
In his address to the student body, Prof Mbatia stated that it is reported that the deceased exhibited signs of distress.
He said that the body has been transported to City Mortuary for a comprehensive postmortem examination.
