West Pokot long- serving Curriculum Support Officer (CSO), Nelson Musani was yesterday given a benefiting retirement farewell at a grand ceremony.
In a special Mass led by Father Walter Oraro, Musani was lavished by special praises for being a good church ambassador to the community during his working days
“As you mark the end of your dedicated service, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your commitment to education and your community. Your legacy will continue to inspire future generations,” Father Oraro
“May your retirement be a time of joy, relaxation, and fulfillment and May you find peace and contentment in the knowledge that your work has made a lasting.
Former County Director of TSC, Ricard Kimachas praised the retired CSO for his dedication and collaboration with other workers stating that he was hardworking and advisable.

He was also described by many as a person who had always strived to make life easier for teachers, fellow officers and anyone else who needed his help.
Musani through his span of service in the education sector helped officers and teachers to improve student outcomes, enhance classroom management, support diverse needs, and foster collaboration.
Various officials from KEPSHA, the Ministry of Education, and Trans Nzoia County also paid tribute to the former CSO’s dedication, wisdom, and contributions to education.
Paul Kamas, the Deputy County Director, expressed expectations for Musani’s post-retirement life, encouraging him to stay involved in community, church, and educational activities. He stated that it was the role of retirees to continue contributing their experience and skills to society.
He explained that research supports the idea that positive expectations and social support significantly predict satisfaction in retirement, including life satisfaction, retirement satisfaction, and social satisfaction.

The CSO was also asked to continue rendering his advice on various educational matters so that those coming after him won’t struggle.
Pomp and splendor were evident as the event was attended by dignitaries, colleagues, and community members, showcasing respect and appreciation for Musani’s service.
Dance performances involving learners from different schools were evident which entertained the crowd and adding to the festive atmosphere.
The celebration demonstrated the impact the CSO had on the community and the education sector, with many coming together to honor his dedication and service. The event was a fitting tribute to his remarkable career.
Musani’s legacy as a dedicated and selfless educator will undoubtedly continue to inspire future generations. His commitment to serving the community with humility and dedication is truly commendable.
