A family in Mbihi Village, Vihiga County, is appealing for public assistance to help trace their 15-year-old daughter, Joy Muhonja, who has gone missing.

Joy, a Grade 8 pupil at Isizi Primary School, was reported missing on Monday after she failed to return home, leaving her family deeply concerned about her whereabouts. According to her relatives, Joy was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black trousers before she disappeared.

The family has since reported the matter to Mbale Police Station, where it is being treated as a missing person case. Police officers have launched efforts to establish her whereabouts and reunite her with her family.

Her relatives are now appealing to members of the public, motorists, neighbours and anyone who may have seen Joy or has information about her whereabouts to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to report to the nearest police station or contact Joy’s parents on 0724320969 (mother) or 0728109362 (father). The family said any information, however minor, could help in locating the missing pupil and ensuring her safe return home.
