TSC leads the send-off of Seme TSC Sub-County Director 

A team of TSC officers led by Kisumu TSC Director Dr. Samwel Marigat during the funeral of their colleague Joash Ogada in Seme yesterday. 

A team from Teachers Service Commission (TSC) yesterday Saturday November 30, 2024 joined the family of the late Joash Ogada Ndege, TSC Sub County Director Seme, in Kabondo, Nyakach Sub County during his final send-off attended by thousands of mourners.

Among those present were members of the teaching fraternity drawn from the Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA), Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA), the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and Kenya Union of Post Primary EducationTeachers (KUPPET), local leaders and the Clergy.

The TSC Family was led by Kisumu County TSC County Director Dr Samuel Marigat who was joined by Mathews Okumu (Director at TSC Regional Director’s Office-Nyanza) and several Sub County Directors led by their National Chairman Ben Orwasa.

Also in attendance were Ministry of Education Officials from Seme Sub-county, Kisumu County and beyond.

The late SCD Joash Ndege was eulogized as a jovial, warm and humble person who was passionate and dedicated to his duties, attributes that saw him rise through the ranks in the teaching profession from a classroom teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, Head Teacher, Curriculum Support Officer (CSO) and finally Sub County Director where he was in charge of Seme Sub County until his demise on November 6, 2024.

The TSC CEO’s speech was read by Dr.Marigat. The CEO praised the departed Sub County Director as a dedicated and dependable officer whose life had been cut short by the cruel hand of death.
