The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has issued an alert dismissing a widely circulated poster claiming to announce hundreds of teacher replacement vacancies for December 2025.
In a statement, the Commission clarified that the advert—bearing details on recruitment for primary, junior, and secondary schools—is fake and did not originate from TSC.
“TSC wishes to notify teachers and the general public that the advert making rounds on social media is FAKE. For accurate and verified information, kindly refer to our official website: www.tsc.go.ke,” the commission stated.
The fraudulent poster lists vacancy numbers, eligibility requirements, and application timelines, giving the false impression of an official recruitment exercise.
TSC warned that such misleading notices are meant to prey on unsuspecting job seekers.

The Commission advised members of the public to remain vigilant and avoid engaging with individuals or platforms circulating unverified recruitment information.
“All official communication, including job advertisements, is published exclusively on the TSC website. Applicants should rely solely on our official channels and report any suspicious activity to the nearest TSC office,” the statement added.
TSC further cautioned the public against falling victim to fraudsters who may use such fake adverts to extort money under the guise of assisting with recruitment.
