- Several county and deputy directors have been transferred or promoted following recent retirements at TSC.
- Dr William Yator moves to Bungoma as Solomon Buyela takes over Siaya in an acting capacity.
- Mohammed Adan has been promoted to county director for Mandera, while Jane Nyakoe joins Homa Bay.
Several field directors have been transferred or appointed in the latest changes by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to replace officers who have proceeded to retirement.
In the latest changes, Dr William Yator, who has been serving as the Siaya County Director, has been deployed as the new Bungoma County Director. Yator takes over from Evans Esese, who retired earlier this year.
Education News has learnt that Solomon Buyela, who has been serving as the Deputy Director (DD), will take over in Siaya as County Director in an acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive holder.
Also affected by the changes is Mohammed Adan, who has been promoted to County Director and transferred to Mandera. Adan, who previously served as the Garissa Deputy Director, takes over from Ibrahim Yakub, who retired recently.
It is also understood that Jane Nyakoe, who has been serving as the acting Bungoma County Director, has been transferred to a new station.

Nyakoe has been posted to Homa Bay County as Deputy Director, replacing Truphosa Korir, who was recently transferred to Elgeyo Marakwet in the same capacity.
