- TSC has reshuffled three principals in Homa Bay County: Teresa Atieno Otieno, Caroline Atieno Oduor and Millicent Anyango Oduo.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced administrative changes involving three secondary school principals in Homa Bay County.
The changes will see Teresa Atieno Otieno, Caroline Atieno Oduor and Millicent Anyango Oduo move to new stations in a leadership reshuffle affecting three schools.
Teresa Atieno Otieno, who is currently the principal of Sinyolo Secondary School, will take over as the principal of Asumbi Girls High School. She is scheduled to take over the new position on October 2, 2026.
Caroline Atieno Oduor, currently the principal of Bishop Okullu Magare Girls, will move to Sinyolo Secondary School. Her handover is scheduled for October 9, 2026.

At the same time, Millicent Anyango Oduo, the principal of Osiri Mixed Secondary School, will take over the leadership of Bishop Okullu Magare Girls on October 9.
The changes create a chain of leadership movements between the schools, with two of the affected institutions exchanging principals.
The affected principals are expected to facilitate smooth handover and takeover processes as they report to their new stations.
The TSC is mandated under the Constitution to appoint, assign, promote and transfer teachers, as well as exercise disciplinary control over teachers. The Commission also oversees the management of teachers serving in Kenya’s public learning institutions.
The latest changes take effect in October 2026, according to the internal announcement.
Clarification: In our story published last week, we reported that Sr. Caroline Onyango had taken over from Madam Linet Pino Sati at Asumbi Girls High School. It has since been confirmed that Sr. Onyango was serving in an acting capacity as principal.
The substantive appointment has now been made, with Madam Teresa Atieno Otieno set to take over Asumbi Girls High School effective October 2, 2026.
