St Peter’s Musikoma Comprehensive School in Kanduyi Sub-county, Bungoma County, has qualified for the prestigious State Gala after emerging the top performer in Class 251: Oriental Music at the ongoing 98th Kenya National Music Festival at Kibabii University.
The school delivered an outstanding performance to clinch first position in the highly competitive category, earning the honour of showcasing its talent before the President and the nation during the prestigious State Gala.
The achievement marks a major milestone for the Kanduyi-based institution and underscores its commitment to nurturing learners’ talents through co-curricular activities.
School celebrates milestone achievement
Speaking after the announcement of the results, Head of Institution Mwelu Wasilwa congratulated the learners, trainers and the entire school fraternity for their dedication and teamwork, saying the victory reflected months of hard work and disciplined preparation.
He expressed confidence that the team would continue flying the school’s flag high at the State Gala and urged the learners to remain focused as they prepare for the national showcase.
The Kenya National Music Festival has brought together learners from across the country to compete in various categories aimed at promoting creativity, cultural heritage and artistic excellence.
