A family in Nyamasege village in Bomachoge Chache Constituency is engulfed in sorrow as they mourn a father with his Grade 7 daughter who perished in a road accident.
According to Elizabeth Kemunto, her husband left to collect their daughter from school in Migori County when they were involved in a fatal road accident at Stella Ridge point on their way.
The two bodies and other casualties were taken to Migori Teaching and Referral Hospital for preservation and treatment, respectively.

Migori County police identified the deceased as Solomon Ogembo, 45, from Kisii County.
Residents from Nyamage village appealed to the area leaders and other well-wishers to raise funds for the burial programmes of the father and his daughter.
A widow and three children survive the deceased, one of them a former girl at Nyakoiba Secondary School in the region.
