Parents owe Mekatilili Secondary School in Kilifi County over Sh2 million in fees.
The school fees arrears has raised fear that the backlog may impact negatively on the institution’s performance in national examinations.
The school’s Principal, Kai Mbwana Mtoro lamented that many parents have not paid fees for their school children.
The principal said the school is owed Sh2 million by parents in school fees arrears, noting that 2017 Form Four students alone have school fees arrears amounting to Sh500,000.
