- The solution targets schools, universities and TVET institutions, aiming to create secure, collaborative and connected learning environments under the Competency-Based Curriculum.
- The launch comes as Kenya accelerates digital learning adoption, with Samsung pledging partnerships with institutions and government agencies to strengthen digital literacy and improve learner outcomes.
Samsung Electronics East Africa has launched a new digital classroom solution targeting Kenya’s growing education technology market as schools continue adopting digital learning under the Competency-Based Curriculum [CBC].
The technology company said the Samsung Digital Classroom is designed to help education institutions modernise teaching by creating connected, collaborative and secure learning environments. The solution combines Samsung tablets, interactive smart boards and the Knox for Classrooms platform to improve lesson delivery, classroom engagement and device management.
The company is targeting both public and private schools, as well as universities, colleges and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, where demand for digital learning tools continues to grow.
Speaking during the launch, Samsung Electronics East Africa Mobile Experience B2B Manager, Anthony Njihia, said the company is shifting its focus beyond supplying devices to ensuring technology improves learning outcomes.
“Kenya has made significant progress in advancing digital learning, and the next phase is ensuring that technology delivers impact in the classroom,” Njihia said.

“Samsung Digital Classroom has been designed to help education institutions create connected learning environments that are secure, collaborative, and easy to manage. This enables teachers to focus on what matters most, which is delivering quality education and improving learner outcomes.”
Njihia noted that schools and governments are increasingly seeking technology solutions that can be deployed efficiently and managed across multiple institutions while maintaining security and ease of use.
The launch comes at a time when digital learning is gaining momentum across Kenya as the government continues rolling out the Competency-Based Education system, which places greater emphasis on learner-centred teaching supported by technology.
Education institutions have also been increasing investments in digital infrastructure to improve access to learning resources, enhance classroom interaction and prepare learners with digital skills required in the modern economy.
Samsung said it will continue collaborating with education institutions, government agencies and ecosystem partners to promote digital literacy and accelerate the adoption of technology in classrooms. The company believes stronger partnerships will play a key role in supporting the country’s education transformation and equipping learners with the skills needed for future academic and career success.
