The body of a third-year male student at Moi University who drowned in River Kesses while swimming with friends on Sunday has been recovered.
This comes after three days of intensive search led by the County Government of Uasin Gishu fire brigade, together with other rescue teams.
According to the reports, the third-year male student who drowned in River Kesses on Sunday after attempting to swim with friends was swept away by strong currents at Kesses Falls shortly after entering the water.

Witnesses said that the strong currents at Kesses Falls swept the student away just minutes after he entered the river, which has been swelling following heavy rainfall experienced recently in the region.
The student’s name has not been made public by the University.
His body has been taken to Mortuary waiting post mortem.
