Government finally releases Ksh31B in capitation funds for schools

The government has finally released capitation funds to schools, giving them Ksh31 billion in the first tranche this year as first term of 2024 kicks off.

Opposition chief Raila Odinga had began a push for the funds to be released in his New Year address, promising to mobilize Kenyans to end the perennial impasse between government and schools.
