Nothing fishy about transfer of Oriwo Boys Principal, TSC boss says

Nyanza Regional Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Director has clarified that the transfer of Oriwo Boys High School Principal Maurice Okal over alleged examination malpractices was normal and should not raise eyebrows at all.

This comes after the Commission transferred the school’s Principal to Sirembe Mixed Secondary school while Sirembe Mixed secondary school Principal was moved to Oriwo Boys High school.

Early this year, the school’s form four results were withheld by the Ministry of Education over alleged examination malpractices.

The incident saw Mr. Okal being grilled by detectives from the directorate of criminal investigations. However, he was cleared and the results of the over five hundred students was released.

Oriwo Boys High school has been one of the top-performing schools in national examinations. It has a history of producing top candidates nationally and this has put it on the national map.

The school was listed as one of the most improved schools in the year 2020 alongside Wiobiero Mixed Secondary School in Homa Bay Town constituency.
