Students of Ngi’ya Girls Senior School have earned praise after taking a firm stand against the destruction of school property, urging learners across the country to protect educational institutions and reject acts of arson.

Led by their student leadership, the learners emphasized that safeguarding and maintaining school infrastructure is primarily the responsibility of students, noting that a secure and well-maintained environment is essential for effective teaching and learning.

The students called on their peers nationwide to desist from burning schools and engaging in activities that disrupt education, destroy property and endanger lives.

Their message comes at a time when concerns over student unrest and school fires have dominated discussions within the education sector.
