Learners in PP2, Grade 3 and Grade 6 at The Ultimate Leader Machakos School celebrated a graduation and prayer day ceremony on Friday, marking the end of the 2026 academic year.
The event brought together parents, teachers, learners, and school management to celebrate academic progress, character development, and learners' move to the next level of learning.
School Director Mary Mutuku thanked parents for entrusting the institution with their children and credited the school's progress to faith, partnership and teamwork. She said the year featured drama activities in the first term, music festivals and sports in the second term, and educational trips that exposed learners to learning beyond the classroom.

Mutuku congratulated PP2 learners as they prepare to join Grade 1 and celebrated Grade 3 learners for reaching an important milestone. She urged Grade 6 candidates to uphold discipline and values as they transition, and led prayers for them ahead of their transition assessment. She noted that the class is the second Grade 6 cohort since the school was founded, which she described as a sign of growth.

Head of Institution Naomy Kambua Kiio said the school emphasises holistic education beyond examination performance, focusing on discipline, character, responsibility, teamwork, respect and leadership through sports, swimming, music, creative arts, religious programmes and academic competitions.
"We are not simply preparing learners to pass assessments, but to become responsible, confident and productive members of society," she said.
Kiio thanked teaching and non-teaching staff for ensuring a safe, clean and conducive learning environment, and parents for providing learning materials, meeting school obligations and monitoring learners' progress.
Pastor Annancietta Ndunda, the preacher of the day, reminded parents that the holiday is long and urged them to take extreme care of their children. He encouraged learners to be wise and avoid friends who might lead them astray.
