Moi University has directed students with pending academic backlogs who have since completed their studies to register for the December graduation ceremony, setting Monday, October 26, 2026, as the deadline.

In an internal memo dated October 21, the university's School of Sciences and Aerospace Studies urged all eligible students to take immediate action to ensure their academic records are captured in the university system ahead of graduation.

The notice, issued by the Dean of the School of Sciences and Aerospace Studies, Dr Rose Ramakim, targets students from previous academic years who have completed their studies and have all their examination results captured in the university system.

The university said the registration process must be completed by close of business on Monday, October 26, warning eligible candidates against missing the stipulated deadline.

“Please treat this matter as urgent,” the memo states, urging students facing difficulties with the registration process to seek assistance from their respective Coordinators of Departments (CODs) or the school administrator.

Students urged to verify examination results

The directive provides an opportunity for eligible students whose academic progress had been affected by pending backlogs to finalise the necessary administrative procedures and prepare for the December graduation ceremony.

Students have been advised to verify that their examination results are fully captured in the university system and complete the registration within the remaining period to avoid possible delays.

The announcement comes as universities undertake administrative preparations for end-of-year graduation ceremonies, which require institutions to confirm candidates' academic eligibility before approving them to graduate.
