At least 1,200 young Kenyans are expected to benefit from full scholarships under the Equity Group Foundation's Wings to Fly – Promotion of Young People Through TVET programme, in an initiative seeking to expand access to technical training and employment opportunities.
The programme, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the German Government through KfW Development Bank, targets young people interested in pursuing certificate and diploma courses in agriculture-related fields.
According to the 2026 scholarship application document, the opportunities are available in 47 selected Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across the country, with successful applicants eligible for Level 5 and Level 6 training.
The scholarship package covers tuition fees, admission charges, learning materials, examination fees, stipends, meals and accommodation, easing the financial burden on young people seeking technical qualifications.(Education News Kenya — https://educationnews.co.ke/news/equity-foundation-targets-1-200-youth-in-new-tvet-scholarship-drive-across-47-institutions)

The initiative is designed to connect young people with practical skills in agriculture and related value chains, including agricultural inputs, mechanisation, production and market systems.
Beyond classroom training, the programme seeks to strengthen beneficiaries' employability and entrepreneurial potential through access to financial tools, agricultural services, mentorship and other support services.
The scholarship is also expected to contribute to Kenya's agricultural transformation and food security agenda by equipping young people with skills needed to improve productivity and develop sustainable agricultural enterprises.
Equity Group Foundation will oversee the administration of the programme, including scholarship distribution, monitoring and evaluation, while working with the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders.
The foundation has indicated that applicants' academic, financial, demographic and family information will be assessed as part of the selection and scholarship administration process.
