Kenyenya Senior Secondary School has appealed to President William Ruto to provide the institution with a school bus to ease transport challenges facing students and teachers.
The request was made through West Mugirango Member of Parliament Steve Mogaka, who pledged to personally raise the matter with the President. Speaking during the school’s Prayer Day, Mogaka expressed confidence that the appeal would receive attention, describing Ruto as a leader who listens to Kenyans’ concerns.
“I am going to speak with President Ruto about the issue of the school bus,” Mogaka told the school community.

The school bus is expected to help learners travel for academic activities, sports competitions, educational trips and other programmes outside the institution. Currently, the lack of a dedicated vehicle forces the school to rely on hired transport, raising costs and limiting participation in external activities.
Mogaka said he would take up the matter as part of his broader efforts to address development needs raised by residents and institutions in his constituency. He also urged parents and community members to support President Ruto and his administration, linking continued leadership to ongoing development projects.
The MP further asked parents to back both President Ruto and himself for a second term, saying their continued leadership would allow them to deliver more development to the country and the local community. He encouraged residents to work closely with the government to address challenges affecting schools and other institutions.

For Kenyenya Senior Secondary School, the acquisition of a bus would provide reliable transport and enable learners to participate more easily in academic and co-curricular activities. The school community has expressed hope that the appeal, once presented to the President, will be considered and eventually addressed through government support or other interventions.
