MP Kemei commissions new education projects in Kipkelion East to boost learning

Kericho County MP Beatrice Kemei has intensified efforts to strengthen education infrastructure through a series of development projects in Kipkelion East.

Kemei, accompanied by some local leaders, reaffirmed her commitment to improving learning conditions for students.

The day’s activities began at Momoniat Primary School, where Kemei commissioned a fully renovated classroom aimed at providing a more conducive and dignified learning environment for pupils.

“Creating a safe and comfortable space for our children to learn is not a luxury; it is a necessity,” Kemei said. “When we invest in proper classrooms, we are investing in better performance and brighter futures.”

At Londoani Boys High School, the Woman Representative officially commissioned a newly constructed school gate, noting that enhanced security is critical in supporting academic excellence.

“A secure school environment allows our students and teachers to focus on what truly matters ,” she stated. “We must ensure our institutions are both safe and welcoming.”

The highlight of the tour was at Londiani Girls Secondary School, where Kemei presided over the opening of a state-of-the-art multipurpose hall constructed through the NG-CDF in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

Describing the facility as transformative, she said the modern hall would host academic forums, co-curricular activities, and community engagements, significantly enriching the students’ learning experience.

“This multipurpose hall is more than just a building; it is a platform for nurturing talent, leadership, and academic excellence,” Kemei said. “It reaffirms our collective commitment to investing in education as a cornerstone for sustainable development and empowerment of our young generation.”

She appealed to leaders, parents, and stakeholders to join hands in supporting the education sector.

“We cannot achieve our goals alone. It requires concerted efforts from all of us to ensure our children get the best opportunities possible,” she added.

Other leaders present during the events included Kipkelion East MP Joseph Cherorot and Kesses MP CPA Julius Rutto, who lauded the projects as impactful initiatives that will boost education standards in the region.

The leaders emphasized that continued collaboration between elected representatives and the national government remains key to advancing infrastructure development in schools across Kericho County.
