- Grassland Primary School has received new classrooms funded through NG-CDF to address overcrowding and improve the learning environment.
- Amisi has commissioned the facilities and has disclosed plans to provide school buses and process bursaries for needy learners.
Learning at Grassland Primary School in Saboti Sub-County is set for a boost following the completion of new classrooms aimed at addressing overcrowding and improving the learning environment.
The facilities, constructed through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), were officially launched on Tuesday by Saboti MP Caleb Amisi.
Speaking during the launch, Amisi challenged learners to take advantage of the improved facilities by remaining focused on their studies and working towards better academic results. He said his office would continue prioritising education infrastructure across the constituency to ensure learners have access to decent and supportive learning spaces. “We want our children to have a good environment where they can learn without challenges. I urge the learners to make good use of these classrooms and remain focused on their education,” Amisi said.
The MP also disclosed that plans are in motion to provide buses to schools within the constituency to address transport challenges. He added that bursaries targeting needy learners are currently being processed. Amisi assured applicants who had met the required conditions that they would be considered, saying the initiative seeks to cushion parents from the rising cost of education and prevent learners from dropping out of school.

The school headteacher welcomed the new facilities, noting that inadequate classrooms had previously strained learning and teaching at the institution. She expressed appreciation to the NG-CDF, saying the additional classrooms would provide pupils with more space and create a better setting for learning.
Hamisi Maloba, a Grade 9 parent, thanked the NG-CDF for investing in the school, saying the project would contribute to improved learning and academic outcomes.

The rest of the parents and the community at large also welcomed the project, saying improved infrastructure would help raise the school’s standards and create better opportunities for learners.
