Makueni Boys Chief Principal Raphael Diwani has taken the Covid-19 jab and urged all the teachers to take the cue and go for the vaccination.
Speaking to Education News, Diwani said teachers are among the list of front line workers and it were better for them to go for the jab.
“I went for mine last week. Though it’s not compulsory, I would encourage teacher’s to seize the opportunity. The vaccine is free and teachers are on the top list of front line workers. It’s for your own benefit though,” remarked the Chief Principal.
On the fears being spread about the jab, he said bodies react differently and that he personally just had mild fatigue in the evening of the day he was vaccinated but by morning he could not even feel the part he was injected.
He however said those in doubt can clarify everything with the medics before taking the vaccine.
