- The Ministry of Education has transferred several TVET principals in the latest leadership changes.
- The movements affect institutions including Turbo, Kongoni, Chepalungu, North Horr, Nkabune and Igembe Central.
- More changes are expected as the ministry seeks to improve service delivery and address declining enrolment.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has reshuffled another set of principals in new changes.
In the movements, Turbo TVC Principal Boniface Stedi has been transferred to Kongoni TVC in the Western region to replace Judith Akaranga, who retired this month after years of heading several TVET institutions.
On the other hand, Chepalungu TVC Principal David Kurgat moves to Turbo TVC to replace Stedi. In a chain reaction of sorts, Daniel Kangogo, who was heading North Horr TVC in Marsabit County, now goes to Chepalungu to take over from Kurgat.
Nkabune principal transferred
Also affected in the changes is Nkabune TTI Principal Peninah Ngina, who has been transferred to Igembe Central TVC.
She replaces Catherine Kathure, whose next destination was not clear at press time.
Nkabune has been hit by leadership wrangles in recent months, with the local community protesting against the way the institution was being managed. Last week, parents took to the streets demanding the transfer of the principal over a motley of allegations.
Education News has learnt that major changes of TVET principals are on the way before the end of the year.

Sources at the MoE said the movements will be effected to boost service delivery and address declining enrolments in particular that have dogged most colleges in recent years.
