Mbooni Member of Parliament Erastus Kivasu has unveiled a state-of-the-art dormitory at St. Alphonsa Kisau Girls High School.
The MP reaffirmed his commitment to improving education in the area, noting that the new dormitory will not only provide learners with better accommodation but also contribute to improved academic performance by enhancing their wellbeing.
“I am sure this will translate directly into improved student welfare by providing safe, spacious, and comfortable accommodation that supports both academic excellence and personal growth,” said Kivasu.
He noted that, in addition to other development projects, he has heavily invested in improving learning conditions across the constituency.
“This dormitory stands as a symbol of progress in the constituency, ensuring that students have access to quality facilities,” he added.
Call for more accommodation facilities
School Principal Florence Kimeu thanked the MP for constructing the dormitory but appealed for additional facilities, noting that the school’s population of 1,200 students requires more accommodation space.
“We appreciate every support and call for more. Now that this school has been elevated to national status, we need facilities that match the standards of a C1-category institution,” said Kimeu.
