Makueni Sub-County Director of Education, Yophes Magara, has been promoted to the position of County Director of Education (CDE) in West Pokot following recent staff transfers by the Ministry of Education.
Magara, who has served in Makueni for four years, said the promotion was a timely recognition of his dedication to service.
“I have worked in various stations as sub-county director, but I thank God the time is now. I also thank the ministry for deeming it fit to promote me. I will continue devoting myself to serving people regardless of the station,” he told Education News in his office.
The outgoing director praised Makueni teachers and education stakeholders, describing them as committed partners who consistently go the extra mile for learners.
