- Makueni County has announced vacancies for ECDE teachers and professionals across several departments.

The Makueni County Public Service Board has invited applications for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers and other professionals to fill vacant positions across various county departments.
The recruitment exercise targets positions in education, agriculture, ICT, livestock, fisheries and public service management.
ECDE vacancies
In a vacancy announcement published on June 25, 2026, the board invited applications for ECDE teachers in Job Groups H, G and F.
The advertised positions include 16 vacancies, among them ECDE teachers and ICT interns under the Department of ICT and Education.
Opportunities across departments
The Department of Agriculture has advertised 21 vacancies for:
- Assistant Agricultural Officers
- Assistant Livestock Production Officers
- Cooperative Auditors
- Veterinary Officers
- Assistant Fisheries Officers
- Human Resource Assistants
The positions are spread across various job groups.
In addition to education and agriculture, the county is recruiting for the positions of:
- Senior Inspector (Drilling)
- Senior Support Staff
- Support Staff
The Office of the Governor has also advertised vacancies for Chief Officers responsible for:
- Public Service Management
- Health Services
- Planning
- Budgeting
An Information Officer position has also been advertised.
Application process
Applicants have been advised to obtain detailed job descriptions and qualification requirements from the Makueni County Public Service Board website or from notice boards located at the County Government Headquarters, the County Assembly and the County Public Service Board offices.
“The full details of the job descriptions and requirements for appointment can be accessed on the Board’s website and at the County Government Headquarters, County Assembly and County Public Service Board notice boards,” said Board Secretary Redempta Kavindu.

The board has set Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 5.00 pm as the deadline for submitting applications.
