Lugari MP Nabwera Daraja Nabii has issued an appeal for assistance in locating Junior School teacher Linet Ngome, who disappeared under unclear circumstances earlier this week. Ngome, a teacher at Lwandeti D.E.B Comprehensive School, was reported missing from her matrimonial home, prompting growing concern among family, colleagues and local leaders.
According to a statement released on December 18, 2025, the teacher’s vehicle was later found abandoned near her ancestral home, with some of her clothes discovered inside. The MP described the development as deeply disturbing and said the details surrounding her disappearance raise serious questions about her safety.
Nabwera confirmed that he has engaged officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Matete and Kakamega to fast‑track inquiries and establish what may have happened. He urged investigators to treat the matter with urgency, noting that time is critical in missing‑person cases.

The legislator appealed to residents of Lugari and Kenyans across the country to volunteer any information that could help trace Ngome, emphasizing that even seemingly minor details could prove vital to the investigation. Nabwera conveyed his solidarity with Ngome’s family, colleagues and loved ones, expressing hope that she will be found safe as authorities intensify efforts to locate her.
