The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) senior officials are set to gather in Naivasha for a two-day workshop aimed at strengthening coordination with the Social Health Authority (SHA) and addressing key issues affecting the Teachers Medical Scheme.
According to a notice issued by Secretary General Akelo M. T. Misori, and dated April 24, the workshop will take place on April 28–29, 2026, and will bring together Executive Secretaries from across the country. The initiative is being organized in collaboration with SHA as part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery for teachers.
“The workshop is intended to address key matters related to the Teachers Medical Scheme and enhance coordination with SHA,” the communication states, underscoring the importance of aligning union structures with national health reforms.

Participants have been directed to make necessary travel and attendance arrangements and to ensure full participation throughout the two-day session. Organizers noted that the specific venue in Naivasha, along with the detailed program and logistical plans, will be communicated ahead of the event.
The notice was also endorsed by other union officials, including National Vice Chairman K. Korti, National Organizing Secretary Paul T. Mwangi, Deputy Secretary General Moses Ndiritu, and National Secretary Edward Mbwana, among others.
The upcoming meeting is expected to play a critical role in shaping how teachers access medical services under the evolving national health framework.
