The construction of a modern six-classroom storey building at Chebaibai Primary School in Chepchabas ward, Konoin sub-county, Bomet County, has officially commenced, marking a significant boost to education infrastructure in the area.
The project was announced by Konoin Member of Parliament Brighton Yegon, who confirmed that the development is being funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).
The initiative aims to address classroom congestion and create a more conducive learning environment for pupils.
The MP underscored the importance of investing in modern school infrastructure to keep pace with rising enrolment in public primary schools.
He noted that improved facilities play a critical role in enhancing academic performance and motivating both learners and teachers.
The new storey block is designed to maximise space within the school compound while providing safe, comfortable classrooms.
Upon completion, it is expected to significantly expand the school’s capacity and better serve learners from the Chepchabas area and neighbouring communities.
