KNUT Makueni chair calls for boy child empowerment

Makueni branch Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Chairman Samuel Mulwa has called on teachers, parents and stakeholders to make sure that boy child is seriously empowered.

Speaking during Kilungu sub-county ball games competition Mulwa who is also Inyokoni Day and Boarding Primary School head teacher noted that the society has concentrated so much on girl child making boy child forgotten.

“It’s okay we have empowered girl child but let us not forget boys especially in their early stages of their life. We want boys to feature everywhere. You get a group of participants with 20 girls and only two boys,” Mulwa said.

The union leader also noted that they are trying to follow up and make sure the players of different categories are given same playing ground to nurture their talent.

He said they will not relent but make sure that any player in the field is a pupil calling for stakeholders to be very alert on it to weed out player imposters,
