Malava Member of Parliament David Ndakwa has issued bursary cheques worth Sh6.551 million to students at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Malava Campus to support their education.
Ndakwa, accompanied by members of the Malava NG-CDF Board and the KMTC Malava management, issued the cheques during an event at the institution on Tuesday.
The bursary support is expected to ease the financial burden facing students and enable them to concentrate on their studies without the added pressure of meeting education-related expenses.
Ndakwa said investment in education was key to empowering young people and building a skilled society.

“An educated society is an empowered society,” Ndakwa said, emphasising the importance of supporting students pursuing professional training.
The NG-CDF bursary programme is intended to assist needy and deserving students from the constituency, including those pursuing technical and professional courses.

The Sh6.551 million allocation to KMTC students comes amid continued efforts by the Malava NG-CDF to support education and improve access to learning opportunities for students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
