Kisii School has announced the phased reopening of the institution following a temporary closure occasioned by student unrest.

According to a notice issued by the school and seen by Education News, learning will resume in stages for students from Grade 10 to Form Four to facilitate an orderly return and allow adequate preparations by the administration.

Under the reopening schedule, all Grade 10 streams will report on June 15, 2026, followed by Form Three students on June 16, 2026. Form Four students from all streams will report on June 17, 2026.

The school has directed that all learners be accompanied by their parents or bona fide guardians when reporting from 8:00 a.m. on the specified dates. The administration said the requirement is intended to facilitate smooth admission procedures and student verification.

Parents have also been advised to clear any outstanding school fees and other financial obligations before the reporting dates. In addition, students are expected to report in full school uniform and maintain appropriate grooming standards.

The school’s Board of Management and administration said normal learning activities will resume immediately upon reopening, with priority being given to covering the second-term syllabus and preparing candidates for forthcoming assessments.

Parents have been urged to support the reopening process by encouraging students to return with a renewed focus on academic work. The administration further warned that disciplinary action will be taken against any learner found engaging in or inciting further unrest.
