Kibabii University has paid tribute to its outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Isaac Ipara Odeo, whose tenure at the institution has come to an end after 14 years of service.
Education stakeholders, staff, students, alumni and leaders gathered at the university to celebrate Prof. Ipara’s contribution to the growth and transformation of the institution since assuming office in 2012.
During his tenure, Prof. Ipara oversaw the expansion of academic programmes, improved infrastructure, strengthened research and innovation, and enhanced staff development, leaving behind a legacy of academic excellence and institutional stability.
The university community commended his leadership, noting that his administration played a key role in positioning Kibabii University as one of Kenya’s growing public universities.
Call for unity and professionalism
Speaking during the farewell ceremony, Prof. Ipara urged the university community to uphold integrity, unity and professionalism.
He said the continued success of the institution depends on collective responsibility, teamwork and an unwavering commitment to quality education.
