The Kajiado County Government Department of Education has got a new Chief Officer following a Thursday’s reshuffle in the county administration.
Isaac Mnaani Nayayio has been appointed as the new Chief Officer for Education. Nayayio, previously served as the Chief Officer for Cooperatives.
He was appointed after the position became vacant following the promotion of Naomi Parinkoi to serve as the County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Public Service, Administration, Social Services, Inspectorate Services and Citizen Participation.

The Department of Education is responsible for several key functions, including the promotion of Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) and the management of county bursaries and scholarship programmes.
Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku announced the changes, noting that the appointments take effect immediately.
Following the reshuffle, the Department of Cooperatives has been merged with the Department of Gender, Culture, Tourism and Wildlife, which is currently headed by Chief Officer Julius Moipai.
