He celebrated his 79th Birthday in style at Tartar Girls National School on Sunday at midday, with the staff and Students present under clear sunshine in a conducive environment.
That was Bishop Emeritus Maurice Anthony Crowley, the former Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kitale.
With vast experience in education and as a former principal of Iten Boys National School, Bishop Emeritus Crowley motivated the staff and Students of Tartar Girls to produce a mean of 9.3 during the coming KCSE examinations.
“You are capable of achieving that Bishop Emeritus Crowley advised as he was being cheered.
The Principal, Madam Consolata Tum, thanked the Bishop for celebrating his Birthday at the school.
“It’s a great honour to the school and Tartar community,” the principal said.

Earlier in the day, the Bishop had conducted mass, assisted by Fr. Edward Shibanda of the Tartar Parish.
“I thank the Bishop as he was the one who ordained me and also facilitated my working in Ireland, his home country,” said Fr. Shibanda Tartar, Parish priest.
Bishop Crowley also thanked the teaching staff for organising a colourful Birthday occasion for him.
BoM chairman John Karamunya was in attendance and congratulated the Bishop.
“You were a great pillar in matters of Education during your prime time as you fully supported our schools in the Diocese,” said Karamunya.
The students gave their maximum entertainment, including the famous Jerusalem.
