Jentrix Ogolla Ratemo has expressed confidence that she will clinch the position of Kisii Branch Treasurer in the upcoming Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) elections. She appealed to teachers across the county to entrust her with the role, pledging to serve them with humility and dedication.

The election is scheduled for February 15, 2026, at Itierio Boys High School in Kisii County. Ratemo said her track record of service to teachers speaks for itself, promising to continue championing their welfare if elected. She thanked educators for standing in solidarity with her during her campaign and assured them that she would perform her duties in the best interest of the teaching fraternity.

“KUPPET Kisii Branch is one of the largest in the country. We are committed to serving all our teachers, and I want to assure them of improved services once I take office as Treasurer,” Ratemo said.

She outlined her agenda, highlighting plans to organise seminars and workshops across all sub-counties in Kisii. These programs, she noted, would provide mentorship opportunities for hundreds of teachers, strengthening professional growth within the branch.

Ratemo also pledged to spearhead the acquisition of a new plot for the Kisii Branch, giving the union a permanent base. In addition, she said the union would continue supporting teachers through the Bereavement Benevolent Fund (BBF), ensuring members receive dignified assistance during times of loss.

Calling on teachers to rally behind her candidacy, Ratemo promised better services and stronger representation. She concluded her message by wishing all members of the Kisii KUPPET Branch a prosperous New Year, 2026.
