Nyanza hockey giants Kisumu Day High School made their intentions known in the game by eclipsing two major opponents over the weekend.
The Kisumu town lads managed to contain both Maseno School and Nyabondo at the Chemelil Academy.
Kisumu Day beat Maseno School 2-1 in the opening match before thrashing Nyabondo Boys 3-1.
In Siaya County, St Mary’s School Yala humbled Bondo Township 42 – 0 during a Rugby derby in a one-sided fixture in the Siaya County Term One games.
In the other encounters, Chianda beat Barding 23-0 while Ambira managed win over Ugenya High School in 44 – 0.
Yala are in Group A against Barding and Chianda and Bondo Township as Maranda and Ambira, Sawagpngo and Usenge play in Group B.
In Hockey, Nyanza giants Nyamira Girls beat Ngiya 4-0 as they took charge of the five team round robin format.
In men’s category, defending Siaya Kings Yala were outclassed 2-0 by Usenge from Bondo Sub County.
In hockey Nyanza champions Nyamira girls beat Ngiya girls.
In the men’s category, defending Siaya lads Yala were humbled 2-0 by Usenge from Bondo Sub County.
