A Form One student murdered his classmate after a quarrel at Ndaluni Secondary School in Mwingi West Constituency on Monday.
The sub-county OCPD Kazungu Charo confirmed the incident and said the victim lost consciousness and passed on during the struggle to revive him.
“He died on the way as he was being rushed to Mwingi Level 4 Hospital,” he said.
Charo said the assaillant had been arrested and was being detained at Migwani police cells as investigations continue.
“Only the death of the student was reported to us, not what led to his death and that’s why we are carrying out more investigations to determine the reason for the fight and where the school officials were during this terrible incident,” he stated.
The OCPD expressed his condolences to the deceased’s family and vowed to ensure that they got justice.
