Family distressed after Form 2 daughter disappears on way to school

A family in Kenyenya sub-county is living in distress after the mysterious disappearance of their Form 2 daughter.

According the girl’s mother Mrs. Brenda Ariemba, her daughter boarded a passenger vehicle from Kenyenya headed to Kisii town as she returned to St. Mathias Mulumba Secondary School in Borabu Constituency, Nyamira County.

However, when they made a follow up at the school, the administration said that the girl never reported back to school after the recent mid-term break.

The parents looked for the girl in all their relatives’ homes but their efforts bore no fruits.

They appealed to anyone with information on the whereabouts of the girl to report to any nearby Police Station or contact them through phone number: 0729 640621.

The daughter is tall and has a brown complexion and was last seen with a black backpack.

Kenyenya Sub County Director of Education (SCDE) cautioned parents against letting their children travel alone for long distances.

He said some students are irresponsible and need close supervision from both parents and teachers as they grow and mature.
