Kinango TVET. The institution's former has finally received his result slip after the Ombudsman intervention

A former student of Kinango Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) college can finally breathe a sigh of relief after receiving long-delayed examination result slips following intervention by the Commission on Administrative Justice, also known as the Office of the Ombudsman.

The student had lodged a complaint with the commission citing an inordinate delay by his institution and the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) in issuing his examination results.

According to the complaint, he sat for his final examinations during the July/August 2022, March/April 2023, and July/August 2023 examination series.

However, he was only issued with a result slip for the July/August 2022 series, leaving the other results pending for an extended period.

Frustrated by the prolonged delay, he sought assistance from the Ombudsman, who initiated inquiries into the matter on October 13, 2025, requesting an explanation from the institution and the examination body.

After receiving no response, the commission issued a reminder on December 3, 2025. The follow-up prompted action, and on December 22, 2025, the institution informed the commission that the outstanding result slips had been released.

The development successfully resolved the complaint, allowing the former student to finally access all his examination results after years of waiting.

The case highlights the role of the Ombudsman in addressing administrative delays and ensuring public institutions respond to complaints and deliver services in a timely manner.
