Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has advised parents to enrol their children who missed direct university entry to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

Speaking at Ainapng’etuny Secondary School in Nandi County during a thanksgiving ceremony, CS Machogu insisted that allowing the youth to join Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions will help them acquire essential skills to earn a living.

“There is a chance for those students who scored low grades in their KCSE. I urge parents to ensure no child remains at home whatever the grades they scored in their examinations,” he said.

Machogu called upon leaders and education stakeholders to encourage the residents to embrace the institution stating that the government was out to standardize skills provision through them.

“TVET institutions are the way to go and the government is working hard to standardize skills provided in these centres,” the CS said.
