Glamour, pomp and colour characterized the third Kenya Universities Drama, Film and Music Festivals which kicked off at Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST).
The event, whose theme is advocating for social responsibility through performing arts in the post Covid-19 era, saw many university students showcase their talents in quintessential costumes, props and stagecraft.
The ten days event, which was launched by Meru University Vice Chancellor Prof Romanus Odhiambo, will run up to 23rd October.
The festival has been facilitated by Kenya Universities Performing Arts and Film Association (KUPAA).
Despite the colorful events, universities have decried the high cost of setting the stage where the performances are held.
