Castrate teachers who defile pupils, MP demands

Nyamira County Woman Representative, Mrs Jerusha Momanyi has proposed a death penalty to be imposed on teachers, Boda Boda riders and other persons found defiling school girls.
The MP lamented that cases of defilement against the minors were rampant in the county and the only way to curb them was to either stone the defilers, have them castrated or have a death penalty imposed on them.
Jerusa regretted that it was indeed shameful that male teachers who are parents and supposed to role models and protectors of the girl-child were now molesting them sexually.
She lamented that some female teachers had also stooped too low by engaging young boys in sexual affairs a situation she termed as worrying and devilish.
“Even some parents are compromised by those who have defiled their daughters. They, too, should be arrested; they are beasts who should spending the entire of their lives behind the bars,” she added.
Speaking at Riomoro Primary School in Kitutu Masaba Constituency where she launched a programme to distribute sanitary towels to all girls aged over 9 years in the whole county.
Kericho County Woman Rep Mrs Florance Bore who also attended the function expressed concern that education of the boy–child was was too threatened.
