The fate of Butere Boys High School in the Kakamega County Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) boys’ football competition is expected to be determined today when the county appeals jury delivers its verdict on the appeal involving Butere Boys and Kakamega High School.

The much-awaited ruling will determine which schools will represent Kakamega County at the Western Region Secondary Schools Games scheduled to begin next month.

According to officials familiar with the appeal, several outcomes are possible depending on the findings of the appeals jury.

If Butere Boys are found guilty of the alleged breach, Kakamega High School is expected to secure the county’s second slot at the regional championships after finishing third in the county competition by defeating Tande Boys 2-0 in the third-place playoff.

Should the appeals committee find both Butere Boys and Kakamega High School guilty, Tande Boys would qualify to represent the county at the regional championships.
