Bomet University College (BUC) has announced plans to host its annual Cultural Week Festival from November 3-7th bringing together students, staff, and the local community for a week of cultural celebration and talent showcase.
The event, themed “Embracing Our Culture for National Cohesion and Sustainability,” aims to promote unity, cultural appreciation, and social cohesion among young people from diverse backgrounds.
According to the organising committee, this year’s festival will highlight Kenya’s rich traditions while encouraging responsible cultural practices that support environmental and social sustainability.
The week-long programme will take place at both the BUC campus and the IAAF Stadium in Bomet County.
Activities will include athletics, sports competitions, traditional games, fashion displays, cultural exhibitions, music, dance, and performing arts.
Students will also participate in food exhibitions featuring indigenous cuisines, poetry, public speaking, and visual arts.
