Bomet University College has announced new examination dates for the end of semester one of the 2025/2026 academic year, rescheduling the tests to run from January 6 to January 20, 2026.

In a notice, issued by the Deputy Principal in charge of Academic and Student Affairs, and circulated to all students on November 17, the institution said the adjustment was made to align the examinations with the broader academic calendar and to allow for smooth preparation and administration of all papers.

The university emphasized that the revised dates were carefully chosen to ensure minimal disruption to academic activities and to provide students with sufficient time to prepare.

The students have been urged to take note of the new timetable and plan their revision accordingly.  The administration further reminded learners to clear all outstanding university fees before the examination period.

Only students who are fully compliant with fee obligations will be allowed to sit for their exams and access examination cards.

“No student will be allowed to sit for any paper without fulfilling the required fee obligations,” the notice stated, warning that strict enforcement will apply during the January exam period.

The memo, copied to the Principal, Deputy Principal (Administration, Finance & Planning), Deans of Schools, and the Head of Academic Affairs, signals the institution’s commitment to maintaining academic order as the year draws to a close.

The university called on all students to comply with the directive as preparations for the new examination window begin.

The decision is expected to give both learners and faculty adequate time to adjust to the updated schedule and ensure a seamless start to the 2026 academic activities.
